“Reflecting on my own life, so many things happened, I had ups and downs. This song is a reminder for me to still thank God and pour out my feelings to Him, for He wants a relationship with us. We only need to come near to Him,” says James.

Kikx echoes his sentiments and shares a defining moment in his career that birthed the song, “When I wrote Sa‘Yong Pangalan 10 years ago, that time I was really scared. I was asking God if I was making the right decision of leaving my band to become a full-time songwriter and music producer—one of those dark times when I was not sure where to go. With God’s blessing, I think I made the right decision. I allowed His plan to unfold, and I am thankful He did not leave me during those times—that’s basically how Sa‘Yong Pangalan was written.”
Dubbing the song “a prayer and a cry for help,” the songwriter invites listeners to dive into the compelling lyrics and heartfelt melody of Sa’Yong Pangalan, “If they’re going through tough times and they feel lost, hopefully, this song can bring light and hope.
