Typhoon Tisoy-affected families need your help! |Support Operation Blessing’s One Step Ahead

Typhoon Tisoy, known internationally as Kammuribrought heavy rains and strong winds after its first landfall on Monday evening in the province of Sorsogon. Although the typhoon has left the Philippine Area of Responsibility, it also left a trail of destruction: fatalities and damages amounting to hundreds of millions.  

Due to the onslaught of Typhoon Tisoy, thousands of people in several regions have been evacuated from their homes. Roads, schools, and houses were destroyed, while the residents’ livelihood was greatly affected. 

According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), the typhoon claimed 13 lives and left 34 injured in CalabarzonMimaropa, Bicol, and Eastern Visayas regions.  

With this, the Operation Blessing Foundation Philippines – CBN Asia’s humanitarian arm, is closely monitoring the affected areas, and is now prepositioning resources for the One Step Ahead Drive – its disaster relief operations on Saturday, December 14. Following the deployment, the team is set to distribute relief goods in Guinobatan, Sorsogon, Capul Island, and Allen next week.
