Stress is normal.

According to Cleveland Clinic, “The human body is designed to experience stress and react to it. Stress can be positive, keeping us alert, motivated, and ready to avoid danger.”

But then, stress can also become negative “when a person faces continuous challenges without relief or relaxation between stressors.”

So, if you are constantly anxious and always see the negative side in everything, procrastinate and avoid responsibilities, and having chest pain and rapid heartbeat.

  1. Acknowledge you are stressed.

Stop pretending that everything is okay when it’s not.

Life can cut you deeply, but unless you acknowledge it, you will continue to resort to temporary relief such as alcohol, drugs, or food that will only prevent you from receiving your healing.

Drop the façade then follow tip number 2.

  1. Reach out to your friends or a support group.

Facing a stressful situation can make you feel alone and hopeless but try to widen your lens of perspective.

Reach out to your family, friends, or someone willing to listen and empathize with you and you will see that people are trying to grab your hand to help you get out from the pit of despair.

  1. Workout and engage in any sports activity that you love.

It cannot be overemphasized enough how beneficial exercise is to cope with stress.

“Exercise reduces levels of the body’s stress hormones, such as adrenaline and cortisol. It also stimulates the production of endorphins, chemicals in the brain that are the body’s natural painkillers and mood elevators,” says Harvard Health Publishing in their article Exercising to relax.

If you’re not the type who goes to the gym, you can do at-home workouts such as bodyweight squats, jumping jacks, or lunges.

  1. Believe in the Lord and the power of prayer.

Research says that people who are exposed to religious activity like worship services, bible studies, cell groups are more capable of being victorious in dealing with mental disorders, Archie Dela Cruz, one of Beyond Small Talk hosts, disclosed.

Whatever it is that’s causing you to be stressed and anxious, be secured in God’s promise in Jeremiah 32:27 NIV, “I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?”

    Sabi nila pag kapanganak mg isang babae makakaranas ng postpartum depression, I need badly prayer to overcome my stress. Ang dami Kong iniisip na Hindi magandang bagay., May pag-kakataon na kahit Yung bagong silang Kong sanggol napapag-initan ko. Marami aKo gustong gawin, gusto ko mag-trabaho pero di ko pa magawa walang mag-aalaga sa aking anak. Gusto ko Rin mag-karoon kami ng sariling bahay, nakakapagod na makitira dahil Hindi kami makapag-desisyon mag-asawa dahil sa mga hipag at bayaw Kong patuloy pinapakialaman ang aming mga desisyon. Wala pang paninindigan ang asawa ko at walang sariling desisyon kaya nalulungkot ako na Hindi kami mg anak ko ang priority nya. Nais ko pong patuloy mo po kaming ipanalangin ng aking asawa sa buhay namin. Nawa si Jesus ang kumilos sa aming buhay mag-asawa.
