Young, unemployed, and feeling down?

Alexandra Pangan felt this way.

“I felt useless. I felt that I should be the one supporting my family, not the other way around. I realized that it is very difficult to be unemployed,” Alexandra recalled.

Due to unreasonable demands from her boss and colleagues, Alexandra resigned from her job. As a young adult who is eager to build her career, being jobless for 3 months made her feel worthless. She can’t help but compare her situation to others of her age.

Waiting day by day for the good job opportunity seemed like forever.

Stuck in her troubles, Alexandra chanced upon The 700 Club Asia one night. When the hosts prayed for people who remained unemployed for 3 months, she claimed it as her prayer, and surrendered all her worries to God. That moment, Alexandra’s restless heart found rest.

“After that prayer, I felt peace in my heart, assuring me that I will have a job and I should never worry,” Alexandra shared.

Moreover, she called CBN Asia’s Prayer Center to seek help in praying for her breakthrough. 2 weeks after, she received calls from different companies and landed a job in a well-known bank as a Human Resource Assistant.

From the point of breaking to her season of breakthrough, Alexandra praised God for giving her a job where she found fulfillment and peace.

“For the first time, I felt at home. They [co-workers] made me feel like I am their family. I feel at ease; my heart is at peace. I found fulfillment in providing for my family. I prayed for a job, and God gave it to me. When I face struggles in the future, I’ll keep on praying. I’ll keep on praying more,” Alexandra ended.

Do you find yourself in a same situation where you felt hopeless about waiting?

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” (Romans 12:12)

You may rest on the Lord’s promise while you wait for your breakthroughs. He knows all your worries, and He wants to free you from those. With joy, patience, and faith, believe that He is working on the things you have been praying for. Be still – your miracles are yet to come.

Are you feeling down or hopeless? You may call CBN Asia’s Prayer Center at 737-0-700 and we would love to pray for you.
