Chinese Sea Goddess Mazu Arrives in Manila | The 700 Club Asia

The Chinese-Filipino community and the pilgrims from China gathered together for a welcoming procession of the image of the Chinese goddess of the sea named “Mazu” from Binondo, Manila to Quirino Grandstand on October 22 and 23, 2018.

This was made possible through the memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the Friends of the Philippines Foundation and the Department of Tourism (DOT), planning to make the Philippines a Mazu festival hub and to build a Chinese Mazu cultural center in Manila Bay with the Mazu statue as their main attraction.

Bishop Daniel Balais, national chairman of the Intercessors for the Philippines (IFP), said that bringing a false god to a Christian nation will only cause curse and calamities. The IFP encourages the Filipinos to pray and stand against the building of Mazu statue in the country.

Filipinos should cultivate the richness and beauty of their culture to strengthen and boost the Philippine tourism.

We are continuing in praying and interceding that these plans will not take effect. We rebuke and will not stop until this plans will be trashed out. We are really hoping that churches among the nation will be united in praying against this.
