B.S.D.U. — Balik Sa Dating Ugali. In the wake of the 9/11 attacks, it was noted that there was a spike in church attendance. The Sunday after 9/11, churches were packed full. When we experience tragedy, there is almost automatic response among people to look inwardly and search for answers… trying to understand… assessing the meaning of life. We go on a serious quest for God when all along God has been right beside us reaching out to us everyday, but in our busyness and hardheartedness we always pass him by. It’s like running to an under ground bunker when we know there is a pending attack.

While in the bunker, when the heat is on and we hear bombs exploding all over the place, we make all sorts of promises to God… “LORD, if you will just keep me safe and not let any harm come to me, I promise to serve you and be good until the day I die, I promise to do this and to do that!” Then after a few weeks, we go right back to our sinful routine and live life the way we want to forgetting about God. My friend, lets not keep testing God. Yes it’s true that He is merciful and that His mercies are new every morning, but remember we have a real enemy who wants us to spend eternity in hell with him. Choose to get right with God today and everyday. He loves you! Hebrews 3:7-8 says “That is why the Holy Spirit says, “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled, when they tested me in the wilderness.”
