OPM icons Ogie Alcasid and Moira Dela Torre are set to release a new song titled “Beautiful” – a melodic anthem about God’s light and love amid the pandemic. You can stream the song this August 14 on Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, Deezer, and YouTube!
For the first time, singer-songwriter Ogie shares the microphone with Moira in hopes of inspiring our kababayans who are dealing with the pandemic’s impact and to spread the message of God’s love, healing, and comfort in uncertain times.
“This pandemic has been the backdrop of this entire song. While we have been cooped up in our own houses, Jesus has been welcoming us to go back to Him. He has a plan and His plan is always beautiful,” Ogie shared.
Written from a place of personal devotion, “Beautiful” takes the listeners to a musical experience, declaration of praise, and a heartfelt prayer – all rolled into one.
“I started writing this song last year. It just came to me one day while I was playing some chords on the piano. The lyrics just started flowing as if the Lord was telling me that all that He has done for us is simply beautiful and glorious. I then asked Moira if she could collaborate with me and she even gave me suggestions on some of melodic lines,” Ogie recalled.
The song is released under Star Music, co-produced by CBN Asia’s music arm, Reverb Worship PH.
