  The death toll is now over 500 after a major typhoon hit the Philippines earlier this week. More than 400 people are still missing, and more than 310,000 people have lost their homes. In the southern island of Mindanao, powerful Typhoon Bopha wiped out whole villages, killing hundreds in mudslides and flashfloods. Seventy more dead bodies were brought to a funeral parlor, about an hour drive from where these people were found.
