Operation Blessing gives Livelihood Opportunities for Albayanos in Camalig

Operation Blessing (OB), in partnership with Ang Hortaleza Foundation, Inc., conducted a cosmetology skills training in Camalig, Albay on March 22-23, 2018 to provide new livelihood opportunities to the families affected by the Mayon Volcano eruption.

Ang Hortaleza Foundation, Inc. was established by Splash Corporation to exercise its corporate social responsibility programs, one of which is its livelihood training program on Basic Cosmetology.

The Cosmetology skills training, which was taken by 33 women in Camalig, included basic techniques on hair cutting styles, hair coloring, hot oil application, manicure and pedicure, permanent hair winding, and foot spa.

Ang Hortaleza Foundation, Inc.  provided all the materials that the participants need for the training.

They got the chance to apply everything they learned from the workshop through a practical exam. Certificates and special awards were given during the graduation ceremony. Starter kits were also provided to equip them in their future home services.

Camalig’s Municipal Mayor, Maria Ahrdail G. Baldo, Vice Mayor Carlos Irwin G. Baldo Jr., and Ang Hortaleza’s Managing Director Aui Hornedo were present during the ceremony.

OB continues to partner and extend relief efforts, helping those who are affected by the Mayon Volcano eruption in Camalig, Albay.
