Once a Hoodlum, now a Man Sold Out for Jesus | Rodel Solejon Story

Rodel Solejon was living a thug life.

Smoking and alcohol were his constant companion. Apart from being a user himself, Rodel would also ask children to secretly sell illegal drugs for him.

Because of the money this generates, buying justice was easy for him.

Disobeying the law doesn’t bother him anymore.

Until one night in a bar, Rodel’s “authority” was challenged by another man. Feeling disrespected that was heightened by his scarred ego, Rodel stabbed the man out of fury.

Unlike the other crimes he committed, he wasn’t able to get past with this one. The man he assaulted refused settlement so he was forced to run away and hide from the authorities.

In this time of distress, Rodel realized how helpless he was and sought God’s deliverance.

Alone in the shadows, Rodel also longed for his family who left him because of his vices and unpleasant lifestyle.

“God if you are really there, please bring back my family,” he cried out and his earnest prayer was answered.

On the same day, he heard the voice of his wife. He opened his door and found her and his son at his doorstep.

While embracing his family, Rodel knew that his new life had just began.

God pulled Rodel out of the pit he got himself into and brought him to His perfect will.

Rodel’s life was transformed. He discovered God’s sovereignty and how His love and forgiveness has the power to change the life of a wayward man.

2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”

Rodel just claimed his eternity. Would you also claim yours?
