CBN Asia Pillars Celebrated God’s Faithfulness

CBN Asia Pillars 2017

CBN Asia Pillars celebrated its 13th Annual Gathering and Fellowship at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria on October 7, 2017.

With the theme “Love the Word, Live the Word,” this year’s fellowship became a special day of thanksgiving filled with highlights of the past year and testimonies over lunch while honoring God and the CBN Asia partners.

This gathering happens every October where the CBN Asia long-time committed partners termed as “Pillars” come together to look back on God’s faithfulness over the 23 years of ministry while looking forward to what GOd has in store for the coming years.

Keynote Speaker Dr. Fred Toke, Vice President of Leader Labs USA, talked about how to be an innovative and effective leader in the 21st century. “Understand what the Lord’s will is. If we want to connect to the generation of today using the methods today, we will lose them. If we don’t innovate, we exterminate,” he said.

Given the rising trends such as smaller families, more affluence, and mental health problems in today’s generation, he also emphasized the need to have a vision, direction, and an action plan as what the Scripture says in Proverbs 29:18, “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”

20-year committed partners to CBN Asia, Vic and Avelynn Garcia, expressed praises to God for the special privilege of partnering with the ministry and witnessing God’s faithfulness, not just financially, but by the Lord granting their hearts’ desires.

“I believe all of us here are blessed to be a blessing to other people,” says Paul Chua, another Pillar and member of CBN Asia’s Board of Trustees, after sharing how he sees CBN Asia expanding to greater scope in helping touch people’s lives.

Mary Ann Tiu shared how she became a CBN Asia partner. “I was watching The 700 Club Asia one night and my heart was touched to give. As a token, I received a personalized Bible with my name on it. It was the beginning of my journey in the Christian faith.” Her heart’s desire to help people in need without asking for anything in return but just to glorify God opened up opportunities for the Lord to bless her abundantly.

Philippine Director of the Asian Center for Missions, Danny Bayasen, also shared the ministry’s direction for the upcoming years and the appeal to support missionaries who will share the gospel to least reached people groups in different nations.

Robert John Tan, CBN Asia Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, on the other hand, shared CBN Asia’s new area of expansion – digital online evangelism and Bless Israel projects.

Apart from the testimonies and reports on the Lord’s faithfulness, CBN Asia also gave out Nation Builders, Kingdom Builders, Global Partners, and Servant Leaders Awards to Pillars who extended extraordinary work in support of the ministry.
