Hope for the Traumatized in the War-Stricken Marawi | Operation Blessing

Wars can be extra threatening and traumatic to children.

For 12-year old Jamael,  it is worse to be separated from his parents than to be caught in the dispute between the Maute terrorist group and the Philippine military soldiers.

The young boy felt shaken, tired, and lost while walking nowhere for more than an hour after the incident. He sought help from a stranger he met, Aslia Calima, who convinced him to ride a rescue truck that will bring them to safety in Maria Christina Gym, Balo-I, Lanao Del Norte.

Jamael is just one of the displaced children and families in Marawi who received help from Operation Blessing’s disaster relief efforts. More of our kababayans need help. Partner with us. Call 737-0-700 or visit cbnasia.org/give for more information on how to donate.
