Pappet Amihan | Huwarang OFW 2017 Missionary Nominee

Holding on to the promise in God’s Word found in Jeremiah 31:16-17, “Keep your voice from weeping, and your eyes from tears; for your work shall be rewarded, says the Lord, and they shall come back from the land of the enemy. There is hope for your future, says the Lord, and your children shall come back to their own country,” Pappet Amihan braved the calling to become a missionary to the Burmese refugees in Thailand.

Along with another Filipino missionary named Rosalyn, Pappet and her team set up a school for the child refugees. She had to face challenges like eviction from the schools, getting physically sick, and facing life threats but these did not stop her.

With the Lord blessing their hard work, Pappet and the other missionaries built a school they call as ELPIS Center, a Greek word for “hope.”

Despite the dangers and sacrifices faced my a missionary, Pappet could only utter thanksgiving for all that the Lord has done. Her missionary work continues and the positive changes in the children’s lives are very evident.
