The Shack is a faith-based novel written by Canadian author William P. Young and directed by Stuart Hazeldine and written by John Fusco in 2017. Starring Sam Worthington (Mack Phillips) as the main character, the story revolves around his journey back to the place called Shack. After his youngest daughter is kidnapped and killed, he doubts the existence of God. One day, he received a suspicious mail from “Papa” pointing him to go back to the Oregon wilderness where The Shack is located. Upon arriving there, he met the African-American woman, Elouisa, Sarayu (Sumire Matsubara), the gardener, and (Avraham Aviv Alush) the carpenter. Later on, he was ushered to the place that changed his life completely.
