In a life and death situation, what is the very first thing you think you would do?
Franklin Peralta is a survivor of a fire incident that happened in 2013 at the New Divisoria Mall Binondo, Manila. He was working at the Maintenance Department of the New Divisoria Mall on a night shift.
Franklin was on duty with a guard when the fire struck the Mall. It was already too late when they discovered how the fire has severely damaged the building.
In the midst of chaos and panic, Franklin grabbed the office landline and called CBN Asia Prayer Center. This was what initially entered his mind as he often watches its flagship program, The 700 Club Asia. After being prayed for, Franklin felt peace allowing him to have presence of mind and act upon the situation.
“There is nothing impossible with God. God is hope,” says Franklin.
Franklin’s story shows how “the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear,” (Isaiah 59:1 NIV) whenever we cry out to Him for help. Human effort may be limited but the hand of God is ever powerful and capable of rescuing those who hope in Him, as what the Bible says in Psalm 118:8-9 NIV, “It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in humans. It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in princes.”
