Liwanag sa Dapithapon_11And he gets the lead role again. Theater, TV and film actor Junjun Quintana is slowly but surely making a name in the indie film industry, much more in the made-for-TV films during Holy Week. He surely has the makings of a good artist.

The budding actor stars in the latest Holy Week special film “Tanikala 5: Liwanag sa Dapithapon” produced by CBN Asia.  In the film, Junjun portrays the life story of Edgar Montealegre, a self-confessed drug addict and his journey towards transformation and finding true love.

This is not the first time that Junjun will play the lead role in a Holy Week film for TV. It was just last year when he starred in CBN Asia’s Tanikala 4: Gapos which also aired during the Lent Season and got quite a number of positive feedbacks and reviews.  According to Junjun, everything was unexpected. “I was surprised and thankful at the same time when they offered me the lead role again. I love working with Direk and the whole CBN Asia staff.”

But eventually, I felt comfortable acting with her. I found out that she’s easy to get along and work with. She even helped me in some of the scenes I felt uncomfortable in,” Junjun confessed.
