Mom-to-Mom Talk with Danica Sotto

RODRIGUEZ, Rizal — Danica Sotto-Pingris shared practical parenting tips and her treasured life lessons to fellow mothers during a recent Operation Blessing (OB) outreach in this town.

These mothers and their children are beneficiaries of OB’s community transformation projects in Sitio Licao-Licao. Everyone listened attentively to Danica’s advice on motherhood, breastfeeding, and family health. The actress-turned-full-time-mom emphasized the importance of hygiene and how it can prevent common diseases from spreading in the family.

Danica also opened up about her fair share of mistakes in the past, and how her personal connection with God made it all right.

“Rich or poor, famous or not, you will not be truly happy without a relationship with the Lord,” she testified. “Money and fame cannot buy happiness. It comes from God alone.”

Danica had a great time bonding with and giving gifts to all the children present in the event. These kids are grateful to OB for sponsoring their tuition, daily lunches, and regular medical checkups. Fathers and mothers, too, benefit from Operation Blessing’s parenting seminars, livelihood projects, and skills training so they can continue providing for their family’s needs.

Thrilled by meeting the daughter of actor Vic Sotto, the children of Licao-Licao were full of energy as they showcased their talents for Danica.

Blessy Cavan, one of the kids, expressed how she and her friends felt blessed under OB’s care by dedicating a special poem to Operation Blessing’s volunteers and donors.

“Our joy can’t be contained because of the huge help Operation Blessing has given us,” Helen, Blessy’s mom, said in tears.

Danica encourages everyone to be involved in OB’s cause in helping impoverished communities enjoy a better life.

“We help not because we are celebrities or we are famous. Your help already means a lot to those in need. It doesn’t matter if it’s big or small. It will go a long way,” she said.
