As part of fulfilling its mission and vision, the Christian Broadcasting Network Asia (CBN Asia) will be expanding its roots in Mindanao. With so many lives to transform in this important region in the Philippines, so much work still needs to be done.
In response to the great need in Mindanao, CBN Asia and its Family of Ministries hosted an open house event last February in Matina, Davao City to unveil a new office that will soon accommodate all of CBN Asia ministries in the city.
The new office will house CBN Asia’s humanitarian arm, Operation Blessing Foundation Philippines (OB) and its missionary training arm, Asian Center for Missions (ACM), and will soon include CBN Asia’s 24-hour Prayer Center.
Operation Blessing is CBN Asia’s arm in fighting hunger, disease, unemployment, illiteracy, and abuse through its medical and disaster relief efforts, provision of education, microenterprise activities, and addressing of basic health and nutrition needs. Dr. Kim April Pascual, OB’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO), stresses the importance of extending help in Mindanao, especially in the most remote provinces.
ACM on the other hand is CBN Asia’s missionary training arm focused in preaching the gospel among the unreached people groups of Asia. It has fully operational training and mobile centers throughout the Philippines. The CBN Asia Prayer Center aims to provide spiritual nurturing and continuously encourages those that have received advise and prayer.
CBN Asia and its Family of Ministries aims to spread Christ’s love and message of hope through its media, counseling, humanitarian and missionary training programs.
In addition to the open house, a ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony hosted by CBN Asia’s President, CEO and host of the weeknight TV program The 700 Club Asia, Peter Kairuz, also took place.
He shared, “This is a milestone for us – the transfer to a bigger location and to be able to house all the Family of Ministries in one roof. Thanks to our faithful partners, supporters and volunteers for making this God-size mission possible.”
Also present to grace the event is the Davao City Mayor’s Office Representative Sunshine Charry A. Fajarda and Matina Crossing Brgy. Captain Joey A. Santes.
