Last May, Capitol City Baptist Church (CCBC), in celebration of its missions month, held “Kairos! Kilos Na!” missions event at their Ministry Center in West Avenue, Quezon City.
The keynote speaker was Bro. Max Chismon, founder of Kairos, while Pastor Sonny Largado talked about missions to the restricted nations. Asian Center for Missions helped organized this event with Philippine Missions Mobilization Movement (PM3).
The purpose of this event was to mobilize and involve Kairos alumni as missions mobilizers, senders, or goers. There were 220 people who came to the event, 130 of whom came from CCBC and 90 from different churches.
At the end part of the conference, the participants were divided into different groups, wherein they discussed how they can use their talents and skills in mobilizing five million Filipinos, with the goal to send at least one million Filipinos to be Outstanding Filipino Witnesses by 2020.
The event was considered a success. The organizers looked at this event as a catalyst for missions mobilization in the Philippines.
